MODEL HDH HEAVY DUTY HAND WINDER
- Wires
from the finest, to as heavy as number 4 AWG, are handled with equal ease with
the two speed ranges and the infinitely variable SCR drive.
- The operator will soon appreciate the many
convenient features. The large digital display electronic counter is easily read
and can be switched to count up to a preset count regardless of which direction
the spindle is set to turn. In either mode, if the operator backs off a turn,
the counter will subtract that turn. The traverse end stops are also adjustable
for fine adjustments of traverse length.
- All controls are on the front panel within convenient reach of the
operator. There are no back gears to engage for low speed and high torque. The
coil can be wound in high speed range to within a few turns of Finish, switch to low speed with
plenty of torque and control for stopping accurately, or for inching to the
proper position under full and controlled power.
- When the operator's foot is off the pedal, the spindle is locked
automatically or left free at the operator's choice. On the face of the
machine is an Amp Meter which enables the operator to occasionally monitor the
current being pulled by the motor.
- The optional variable speed traverse mechanism is a popular option. It is
variable from zero to 3/16 of an inch per revolution. Two adjustable traverse
speeds can be preset, so that they can be switched instantly from one to the
other when winding a primary and secondary with different size wires.
- The tail stock is a rugged toggle action type for quick loading and
unloading of winding forms and can be equipped with a 60-degree center, or live
center, or ball bearing disc which can be modified for holding any
kind of shape.
