The Super 900 is
the latest and greatest Gorman Machine Corp
can offer in a toroid winding machine.
After a year and a half of development
we finally have a machine that is ready for
the production environment. We did not want
to promote it until we knew we had all the
bugs worked out.
We designed the
Super 900 to not only be able to perform all
the basic winding capabilities of our other
shuttle based toroid winders but we also
wanted a machine that can perform special
winding cycles we previously could not
offer.
It can perform multiple Sector
Winding and Progressive Windings. The
progressive windings can also be done in
Sectors.
Previously our 900A machine could only be
set for a single angular Sector. The new
Servo motor controlled Super 900 can wind
multiple angles of your choice.
One
of our goals was to make a machine that
could not only perform unique windings but
we wanted a Control that was as user
friendly as possible.
The machine
makes it easy to switch from doing Belt Head
winding to Side Slider winding by just
inputting in advance what the set up will
be. For example you can tell it what winding
head will be used and for what purpose. Then
when it comes time to load the shuttle it
will know which direction to load in
automatically.
You can input the core
rotator size and the shuttle type and size
and it will use that information to control
the rotation rate of the core.
You
can have a Wind Cycle Step automatically
follow a Load Cycle Step or load manually if
you want and just use the Wind Cycle as a
programmed Step.
If a Shuttle Load
goes bad which is not uncommon you can
quickly unload the shuttle using the foot
pedal to free up your hands for removing the
wire.
We primarily designed this
machine to perform the uncommon winding
cycles we used to have to turn down but it
still is a very nice user friendly machine
to work with for your every day common
winding types.
